Peter’s Firebird · Build Journal

Pontiac Firebird

Roadster Shop handling, Don Hardy LS3 power, and a TREMEC six-speed in a clean blue Firebird. Peter’s car was built around the experience behind the wheel.

Peter’s blue Firebird outside Chris Cerce Customs before upholstery work

Built to get out and drive.

Chris describes Peter’s Firebird as a clean driver. Its build recipe centers on a Roadster Shop chassis, a 550-horsepower Don Hardy LS3, a TREMEC T-56, and Forgeline wheels.

The engine was up and running in June 2025 with help from AutoTrend EFI. Chris then worked through the remaining issues before test driving. By October, he reported that the Firebird was well shaken down and ready for its interior work.

The paint and chassis detail photographs follow the car from shop assembly to road testing. The next update shows it leaving for upholstery, with a return planned for further dialing in.
